El Dorado® is coming to the Craft Brewers Conference in Denver for a special seminar. On Friday, September 10, 2021 starting at 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. in room 107/109 featured panelists Eric and Shelley Desmarais, Alexandra Nowell (Three Weavers Brewing), and Jeremy Moynier (Stone Brewing).
El Dorado® is a dual-purpose hop variety that was released in 2010 by CLS Farms. It's known for its high alpha acids and exceptional aromas and flavors of stone fruit, hard candy, pineapple, cherry, and citrus fruit. This seminar gives brewers an introduction to the unique growing standards of El Dorado® and technical brewing advice from Alexandra and Jeremy. We’ll talk all about where to use this tropical hop in the brewing process, pairing it with other varieties and different beer styles, and how it’s grown. You’ll have the opportunity to talk to El Dorado® growers and ask questions of a longtime El Dorado® brewer.
Coming straight from hop harvest, we’ll have El Dorado® hop samples for sensory picked just days before the seminar. We'll also have Alexandra and Jeremy take you through the brewing process for Three Weavers' Expatriate and Stone Brewing's new Hazy IPA.
